Highlight Films provides all professional services for news production in Israel and Palestine. We work with foreign news reporters and producers looking for assistance. The standard news package is an experienced news cameraman, HD / 4K camera, audio and light kits, and a production car. We work with international news departments for both TV and the web. We provide our customers with news production services in Israel for their reports: stories and background information, contacts, booking interviews, film permits, as well as video camera crews and all other production services. Some of our customers around the world prefer to work with stringers in Israel and Palestine. We provide this services as well, hence we work on a regular basis with many news stringers. Our production fixers have years of experience in news production.

At any given time we have TV news video crews on standby in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Gaza City. We can get any news event and work on news reports quickly and professionally. Our main office in Tel Aviv has access to immediate news updates from various sources. Our researchers and office coordinators can book interviews, either physical or remote. In addition, we often receive tips and warnings before other TV reporters and news offices do. So when we have a crew out, the office coordinator forwards any updates to them in real time.
Our camera-persons and sound-persons are all very experienced, and we offer a large variety of 4K / HD cameras.

NEWS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS REPORTS – OUR EXPERIENCE IN WAR
On October 7, 2023, everything changed. The surprise attack of Hamas terrorists on Israel villages and cities took Israelis by complete surprise. We had plenty of experience in news production n Israel during chaotic times: in the 2nd Intifada, during the 2006 war in Lebanon, and in several large military operations in Gaza.
The new reality, of hundreds of fatalities, battle areas inside Israel and a total collapse of many state systems, including the communication of relevant information to the media, was a challenge we have never dealt with.
On the first day of the war we established a front center in Sderot, and on Oct. 8 we began shuttling our customers from the Tel Aviv airport to the front lines in the south. In less than 48 hours we had more than 15 fixers working with visiting journalists and camera crews. We took care of crews from Europe, The United States, Canada, Japan, China, Singapore and Hong Kong. At the same time we had our news crews filming and interviewing for remote coverage of additional customers.
We established a virtual media center, with our researchers and office coordinators getting and sending online information in WhatsApp groups, and at the same time we shared with our teams an online map of alerts and areas to avoid.
This operation, getting more efficient by the day, continued to serve our customers until the end of 2023. We continue to provide direct and remote news production services to visiting crews and journalists.
